Affirmations
for Attracting Your Ideal Mate and More

Affirmations:  According to Webster's dictionary affirmation means the act of affirming; something affirmed; positive declaration; assertion

Affirmations are one-sentence statements that are made and spoken as if you have already received what you want or desire in life.  It's important to have affirmations that are short, and to the point.  When you find an affirmation that is right for you, you'll feel a sense of rightness in your gut.  Affirmations may feel phony if they are in direct opposition to what you are experiencing.  For example, if you say "I am happy, content, and competent." when you feel miserable, worthless and incompetent, it will feel hollow.  If this is the case use affirmations that suggest the possibility of change.  For example, "I have the power to feel better."  "I can love myself by eating healthy food." "I am learning to change my thoughts in a positive way."  These statements open up the path and don't clash so hard with your entrenched beliefs.

Your affirmation succeeds best when it is specific and when it does not produce a mental conflict or argument.  For example:  If you want more wealth and success then just repeat the words "wealth" and "success" several times a day for several days instead of an unbelievable statement to your conscious mind like "I am wealthy."  A statement like that can make you feel like you are lying to yourself and therefore it cannot be manifested.

Good times to repeat affirmations are while driving, doing housework, performing any mundane tasks, getting ready for sleep and upon waking.  Repetition is key.  The more you repeat them, the faster you can start reprogramming your subconscious thoughts.  Anytime negative thoughts enter your mind, you can neutralize them by replacing them with your own positive affirmations.  You can also record your affirmations on a cassette tape in your own voice and play this tape to yourself as often as possible.  Affirmations do work and can be used in all areas of life.  The key is repetition.

To add energy to an affirmation, add movement.  You can dance it, sing it, tap it, make up a rhythm to go with it.  do anything to get the message into your brain, through as many channels as possible.  But don't give up if it doesn't happen right away.  It takes a lot of repetition to overcome the density of old thought patterns.

Listed below are some examples of affirmations for attracting your ideal mate.  Use any or all of these or better yet create your own.
